First ..... injury!
We are at the beginning of August, after a "good" month of July both professional (internship rewarding) than in terms of race foot (250km 5min/km has traveled on average), I give myself a weekend to cap ferret; The weather is sunshine, beautiful beaches and impressive waves.
Obviously I can not help but to brave the waves, making me grind many times, except m'occasionner a nice "cup" seems to me perfectly harmless.
A week later I started to experience persistent pain in both knees, but more pronounced on the left knee.
I take a rest day, then two until it passes, I will run somehow, the pain persists and grows.
The worst is when I ride my bike, the pain is simply unbearable.
Ouch! I began to consider the injury, and I suspect the worst ills: stress fracture syndrome wiper, knee tendonitis, knee ligament problem ....
At this point I have not made the connection with my adventures in the waves.
After a week I go to a sports doctor. Here I am relieved because he said I have nothing very serious if it is a meniscus "damaged" which requires at least 10 days' rest, and anti-inflammatory Voltaren!
After observing a period of rest, I am "rehabilitated" by taking over gradually by two sessions of swimming (which I reconfirmed I was not born to swim, my ears hurt when I am in the water and I feel breathless after more than 400m at a meeting of VMA!)
Last week I have done 50km in total, I intend to do the same this week and resume sessions "threshold" and "split" next week!
